The governments of Ukraine and Switzerland are jointly preparing to hold the Global Peace Summit at the level of country leaders on June 15-16, 2024 in Bürgenstock (Switzerland).

In May 2024, the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs invited the leaders of more than 160 countries to participate in the Summit.

The primary goal of the Summit is to lay down the groundwork for a comprehensive and robust peace in Ukraine and pave the way for lasting stability in the region.

In 2022, during the G20 Leaders' Summit in Indonesia, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, announced the contents of the 10 points of the Ukrainian Peace Formula, based on the principles and norms of the UN Charter.

For its implementation in 2023, meetings were held at the level of ambassadors of more than 80 countries accredited to Ukraine, as well as four meetings of foreign policy and national security advisers, which took place in Copenhagen, Jeddah, Malta and Davos. These meetings paved a path to the Inaugural Global Peace Summit.

Ukraine appreciates India's desire to establish sustainable peace in Ukraine. We are also grateful to India for unwavering support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty as well as India’s continuous participation in the mentioned above meetings on the Ukrainian Peace Formula.

Recently Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi Ji, during his phone conversation with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy highlighted that “India would continue to do everything within its means to support a peaceful solution”.

We are convinced that the vision of the Prime Minister of India for peaceful coexistence in accordance with the principle of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" – "the whole world is one family" should be reflected in a collectively developed action plan that will bring a just peace to Ukraine and will restore the supremacy of the international law.

Detailed information on the philosophy of Ukrainian Peace Formula is available here.
