Ukrainian-Indian political relations

Ukraine was recognized by the Republic of India as a sovereign independent state on December 26, 1991.

January 17, 1992 - Protocol on the Establishment of the Diplomatic Relations between Ukraine and the Republic of India was signed.

May 7, 1992 - Embassy of the Republic of India in Kyiv was established. 

February, 1993 - Embassy of Ukraine in New Delhi was established. 

In the framework of the state visit to India of the President of Ukraine (December 9-12, 2012), the Joint Statement on the establishment of the comprehensive partnership between Ukraine and India was adopted.

On August 23, 2024 within the framework of the official visit of the Prime Minister of India to Ukraine, the Joint Statement was adopted

October 2010 – H.E. Mr. J.S.Pande, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Ukraine, presented the Letters of Credence. 

December 8, 2010 – H.E. Mr. Oleksandr Shevchenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of India, presented the Letters of Credence. 

November 2011 – H.E. Mr. R.K.Chander, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Ukraine, presented the Letters of Credence.
