Trade Mission of Ukraine, headed by the Mrs. N. Mikolska, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade - Trade Representative of Ukraine and Ms. O.Trofimtseva, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, visited India on September 9-15, for the first time in the history of bilateral relations.
During the official part of the visit, meetings of the delegation's leadership with Mr. Ravikant, Secretary, Ministry of Shipping of India, Mrs. R.Tiaotia, Secretary of Commerce, Mr. A.Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare of India were held.
The business section included presentation of the economic potential of Ukraine, business forum with representatives of Indian business circles, meeting with the leadership of the India-CIS Chamber of Commerce, as well as a series of business bilateral meetings. The Ukrainian business delegation also visited Annapurna agrarian exhibition in the city of Mumbai.
During the visit to New Delhi, the dates of the meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Indian Commission, consultations on the conclusion of the Ukrainian-Indian Investment Agreement, as well as the issue of establishment of bilateral contacts in the field of shipbuilding have been agreed upon. In the agrarian sector, the sides reached agreement on intensification of official and business contacts, as well as expansion of the nomenclature of mutual agricultural and food export deliveries.
