On 28 July Ambassador of Ukraine to India Dr. Oleksandr Polishchuk visited the headquarters of the Satyarthi Movement for Global Compassion and met the Founder, Mr. Kailash Satyarthi and the team.
The Ambassador expressed his deep admiration for Mr. Satyarthi’s lifelong dedication to protecting children’s rights, combating child labour, trafficking and exploitation, and promoting compassion, justice and human dignity.
During the meeting, the Ambassador briefed Mr. Satyarthi on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine and the profound impact of the war on Ukrainian children, with particular attention to those who have been forcibly deported or separated from their families.
The Ambassador highlighted the Bring Kids Back UA initiative launched by the President of Ukraine to ensure the return and reintegration of every Ukrainian child, as well as humanitarian initiatives of the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, aimed at supporting children affected by the war, their recovery and well-being.
The two sides exchanged views on possible areas of humanitarian cooperation and discussed initiatives aimed at protecting children’s rights, supporting children affected by armed conflict, and advancing shared humanitarian values.
