Ambassador of Ukraine to India participated in the “Ukrainian-Indian Forum: A new strategy for relations in the context of global changes”

On March 15, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of India Dr. Oleksandr Polishchuk participated in the virtual discussion “Ukrainian-Indian Forum: A new strategy for relations in the context of global changes” arranged by the A. Krymskyi Institute of Oriental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, National Institute for Strategic Studies and Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the support of the Parliamentary Group of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Interparliamentary Relations with the Republic of India, and the Embassy of India in Ukraine.

Statesmen and officials, politicians, business representatives, leading indologists, scientists and experts in diplomacy, economics and the humanitarian sphere from Ukraine and India were engaged in analyzing the results and prognosis of prospects of developing bilateral relations between Ukraine and India.

Ambassador in his welcoming remarks accentuated that Ukraine and India share common values, which is eloquently reflected in the support of the esteemed Indian Side, for which he expressed sincere appreciation. He declared readiness to expand cooperation, emphasizing the importance of establishing people-to-people contacts and deepening relations between the diverse communities of Ukraine and India.

Dr. Polishchuk pointed out the great dynamics of collaboration, recalling Ukraine's participation in the "Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit" where opportunities for profitable investment in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine were presented as well as in the "Raisina Dialogue", where challenges to the global security architecture as a result of Russian aggression against Ukraine became an indispensable part of the agenda.

He also expressed hope for India's participation at the level of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in the Global Peace Summit on Ukraine, hosted in Switzerland.

Taking this opportunity, Ambassador extended sincere gratitude to the Indian Side for provided humanitarian aid and proposed by the Indian Government High Impact Community Development Projects (HICDP) humanitarian mechanism aimed at rebuilding critical infrastructure such as schools, hospitals etc. in Ukrainian communities.

Thank you dear colleagues for the invitation, interesting discussion and ideas for deepening collaboration between Ukraine and India. We are ready for further cooperation in the comprehensive development of Ukrainian-Indian relations.
