On August 15, 2025 — India’s Independence Day  — the Embassy of Ukraine in India marked the day with a very special event: the award ceremony for the first group of in terns from O.P. Jindal Global University, who successfully completed their Summer Internship at the Embassy.

His Excellency Dr. Oleksandr Polishchuk, Ambassador of Ukraine to India, together with colleagues of the Embassy, presented the Certificates of Completion to the interns.

The ceremony was also joined online from Kyiv  by:

• Dr. Mridula Ghosh, Board Chair, East European Development Institute (EEDI); Associate Professor of International Relations, National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy
• Ms. Maria Tomak, Human Rights Expert
• Mr. Dmytro Shulga, Program Director, International Renaissance Foundation
• Dr. Olena Bordilovska, Head of the New Challenges Department, National Institute for Strategic Studies in Kyiv

The five interns — Shubhangi Sharma, Aryan Gupta, Prarabdh Seth, Ruchir Ketkar, and Animesh Panwar — were each honoured with two certificates:

1. A Certificate of Completion from the Embassy of Ukraine in India for their dedicated work across the Embassy’s sections;
2. A Certificate of Achievement from the East European Development Institute (EEDI), following their induction course on Ukraine’s politics, human rights, foreign policy, culture, and history, organized within the project Ukraine and South Asia: Open Dialogues 2.0 and supported by the International Renaissance Foundation.

We sincerely wish them every success in their future endeavors — perhaps even as future members of the Indian Foreign Service and as specialists on Ukrainian–Indian relations.

The Embassy looks forward to further cooperation with O.P. Jindal Global University and the East European Development Institute.
