On 18 August 2026, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy received the letters of credence from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of India to Ukraine Shri Anjani Kumar.
The Head of State congratulated the Ambassador on the beginning of his diplomatic mission in Ukraine and informed him about the intensification of Russian strikes, as well as diplomatic efforts aimed at bringing the war to an end.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed hope for the further development of good relations between the two countries.
“We have good bilateral relations with the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Kyiv was excellent. We have a very constructive dialogue,” the Head of State noted.
The President emphasized the need to increase the level of engagement between the two governments. The sides discussed prospects for expanding trade and economic relations.
