On 29–30 June 2026, Ukraine took part as a partner country in the 4th and final event of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences 2025–2026 cycle, held in Vadodara, Gujarat.

Ukraine’s participation in Vadodara marked the completion of its consistent engagement throughout the regional conference series. From Mehsana to Rajkot, Surat and Vadodara, Ukraine joined all four regional editions of the cycle, presenting opportunities for stronger Ukraine–India cooperation at the state level.

Ambassador of Ukraine to India Dr. Oleksandr Polishchuk participated in the inaugural session of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference – Central Gujarat 2026. In his address, he underlined Ukraine’s interest in further strengthening economic cooperation with India and highlighted the importance of practical partnerships with Gujarat, one of India’s leading industrial and innovation-driven states.

During the visit, Dr. Polishchuk held a one-to-one meeting with the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel. The discussion focused on strategic partnerships in pharmaceuticals, agriculture, education, renewable energy and green hydrogen. Chief Minister Patel thanked Ukraine for being a partner country in all four editions of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences held so far and invited Ukrainian industries to collaborate with Gujarat as a reliable Indian partner.

The visit also provided an opportunity to highlight Ukraine’s broader interest in deepening economic cooperation with India, including through stronger business-to-business contacts, participation of Indian companies in Ukraine’s recovery and renovation, and further work towards elevating Ukraine–India relations to a strategic partnership.

As part of the programme, Dr. Polishchuk also visited the Statue of Unity, one of India’s most prominent national landmarks and a symbol of unity, vision and state-building. During the visit, he paid tribute to the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and left a message in the visitors’ book.
