From March 29 to 31, 2025, the "Global Education Conclave 2025" took place in Punjab, India. This international event, attended by over 100 foreign participants from more than 50 countries, was organized by the Indian educational institution Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Mohali.
Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of Ukraine in India, Mr. Artem Nosko, participated in the conference. During speeches and discussions, the Ukrainian diplomat highlighted, among other issues, the devastating impact of Russian aggression on Ukraine's education sector. He also noted the signing of a Memorandum on India's humanitarian grant assistance for the implementation of high-impact community development projects during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Kyiv in August 2024. He expressed hope that India would soon contribute to financing humanitarian projects in Ukraine to address urgent educational needs.
It was also emphasized that Ukraine is interested in restoring educational cooperation with India — before Russia's full-scale invasion, Indian students constituted the largest group of foreign students studying in Ukraine.
Specific prospects and potential joint projects were discussed during a meeting between the Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of Ukraine in India, the leadership of Nizhyn Gogol State University (Chernihiv region), and the administration of Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Mohali.
The participation of Ukrainian representatives in the "Global Education Conclave 2025" once again provided an opportunity to convey objective information about the situation in Ukraine to the Indian audience and to strengthen Ukraine's image as a reliable and promising partner in the field of education.
