Ukraine restores full participation in "Aero India 2025" - Asia's largest aerospace and defence expo
14 February 2025 17:00

From February 10 to 14, 2025, Ukrainian official delegation and representatives of Ukrainian defence industry companies took part in one of the largest aerospace and defense exhibitions in the world, "Aero India 2025", which was held at the Yelahanka Air Base in Bengaluru, India.

This year, the exhibition brought together hundreds of leading companies from around the world, including manufacturers of aviation equipment, air defense systems, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), satellite technologies and defense weapons. Aero India is a key platform for concluding new contracts and discussing strategic partnerships in the field of security and defence.

The Ukrainian official delegation, led by the Ambassador of Ukraine to India Dr. Oleksandr Polishchuk and heads of Ukrainian enterprises, held official meetings with the Deputy Commanders of the Indian Navy and Air Force. The Ambassador took part in the Defence Ministers' Conclave, chaired by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of India Shri Rajnath Singh.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, Dr. Oleksandr Polishchuk also met with the Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of Sri Lanka, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd).

A unique aspect of Aero India 2025 was the presentation of Ukrainian products at the stands of Indian companies, which serves as an example of reliable partnership relations between our countries.

Dr. Oleksandr Polishchuk also visited the stands of leading Indian companies in the defence sector and discussed the prospects for deepening cooperation. An agreement was reached with Indian partners to continue cooperation and launch new areas of Ukrainian-Indian interaction.

Ukraine's participation in Aero India 2025 is also important in the context of the practical implementation of the Ukraine-India Joint Statement on the Visit of Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi to Ukraine in August 2024. This landmark statement outlined a shared vision for elevating bilateral relations from a comprehensive partnership to a strategic partnership in the future.

By actively participating in Aero India 2025, Ukraine reaffirms its commitment to deepening defence, aerospace, and technological cooperation with India, paving the way for stronger ties between the two nations.
