On April 4 Ambassador of Ukraine to India Dr. Igor Polikha presented the Credentials to the President of the Republic of India Mr. Pranab Mukherjee. During the meeting the necessity of intensification of the political dialogue between Ukraine and India was emphasized in view of the relations of comprehensive partnership between the two countries. 

Both sides discussed the issues of preparing the visit of the President of India to Ukraine as well as necessary preparatory events in order to ensure the success of the future Ukraine-India Summit. Among them were noted: active contacts between Foreign ministers of the two countries, holding of the Intergovernmental Commission`s Session, as well as a number of consultations and meetings of bilateral working groups.

The parties declared their readiness for enhancing of Ukraine-India cooperation in trade and economic field, as well as in science and technological, military, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Special attention was paid to the parliamentary dimension of bilateral relations, in particular, to preparation of the visit of the Speaker of the Lok Sabha of India to Ukraine.
