On November 14, 2016 H.E. Dr. Igor Polikha, Ambassador of Ukraine to India and Sri Lanka (concurrently), presented his Credential Letters to H.E. Mr.Maithripala Sirisena, President of Sri Lanka.

During his visit to Colombo, Ambassador also met with H.E. Mr. Esala Weerakoon, Secretary of Foreign Affairs, and heads of key departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka. The Parties discussed a wide range of bilateral issues, in particular further activization of Ukraine – Sri-Lanka political dialogue, current state of protection of rights of Ukrainian citizens in Sri Lanka as well as further development of the legal base of bilateral relations.

Ambassador had meetings with Ministers of Tourism, Justice, Special Assignments to discuss bilateral cooperation in the relevant fields.
