To implement the agreements reached during the visit of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba to India (March 28-29, 2024) and in preparation for the 7th meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Indian Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, Industrial and Cultural Cooperation on May 15, the 5th meeting of the Ukrainian-Indian Working Group on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held in online format.
During the meeting a wide range of issues were discussed:
- restoration of pre-war indicators and further development of bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation;
- introduction of additional mechanisms for trade liberalisation;
- development of the legal framework in trade, economic and investment spheres;
- India's participation in post-war reconstruction and rebuilding projects in Ukraine;
- participation of Indian investors in privatisation processes in Ukraine;
- development of cooperation in the field of IT and digitalisation of the financial sector;
- exchange of information about exhibitions and trade and industry associations that will facilitate the establishment of contacts between business circles of the two countries etc.
