On November 30 2018, Dr. Igor Polikha, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of India met with the newly appointed Foreign Secretary (West) G.Sarma.

The Sides discussed development of the Ukrainian-Indian political dialogue and progress in ensuring sustainable work of consultative mechanisms between the Foreign Ministries of both countries.

They also agreed to intensify efforts on expansion of the legal base of bilateral Ukrainian-Indian relations.

The Ambassador of Ukraine to India informed the Indian Side regarding the act of aggression from the Russian Federation against Ukrainian ships in the Kerch Strait and the approval by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the Presidential Decree on the introduction of martial law.
