The Ambassador of Ukraine to India had a privilege to attend the graduation ceremony of the PCTE Group of Institutes, Ludhiana, for the Class of 2024 on December 20.
Addressing faculty, parents, and graduates, he congratulated the students on their achievements and encouraged them to contribute to society. In his speech, Dr. Oleksandr Polishchuk emphasized the role of youth in shaping India’s future as a developed economy by 2047. Quoting Swami Vivekananda and Mahatma Gandhi, he urged the graduates to pursue their goals while building an inclusive and sustainable society.
The ceremony also featured the PCTE College Colors Awards, celebrating outstanding achievements in music, dance, literature, sports, athletics, and entrepreneurship. The Ambassador was honored to distribute these awards and personally congratulated the students on their remarkable talents and dedication.
Dr. Oleksandr Polishchuk expressed personal gratitude to the PCTE team, including Dr. K.N.S. Kang, Chairman and Director General of PCTE Group of Institutes, Mrs. Harpreet K Kang, Dean of International Affairs, and the faculty, for their visionary leadership and commitment to fostering academic and personal growth. He was particularly impressed by the institution’s modern facilities and its vibrant international community, which reflects PCTE’s global appeal.
The Ambassador also highlighted PCTE’s generous offer to provide free education to Ukrainian students affected by the war. He announced plans to enhance inter-institutional cooperation between Ukrainian universities, colleges, and the PCTE Group of Institutes.
Dr. Polishchuk also had an interaction with the students of Journalism and Mass Communication faculty.
Additionally, the Ambassador expressed delight at being served authentic Ukrainian borshch, specially prepared by students. This thoughtful gesture highlighted the spirit of cultural exchange and mutual appreciation that PCTE fosters.
