On 18 April, Ukrainian and Indian students came together for the international scientific seminar “The Evolution of Birds”, marking a meaningful new stage in the development of the Bridges of Empathy project.
The Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of India warmly welcomes the initiative of the participating institutions — Richelieu Scientific Lyceum, Odesa State Agrarian University, Private School “MRIYA”, and Fr. Agnel School, New Delhi — and highly appreciates their efforts in bringing this joint seminar to life.
It is particularly heartening to see students and educators brought together by a shared exploration of feathers, flight, and imagination, showing how science can unite young minds across continents.

The Bridges of Empathy project was launched in May 2024 as a partnership between Fr. Agnel School, New Delhi and Kyiv Gymnasium of Oriental Languages No. 1., where Hindi is taught.
In May 2025, it expanded further to include a second school pair — Presidency School Bangalore North and Vasyl Stus Lyceum of International Relations in Lviv. Over this period, the project has given children an opportunity to learn more about one another’s history, culture, traditions, and everyday life, while also sharing their own experiences and perspectives.
Today, this cooperation is already moving into a scientific dimension and acquiring new depth, and the seminar “The Evolution of Birds” clearly demonstrates this new stage of engagement.

We hope that, through joint efforts, the Bridges of Empathy project will continue to grow through many more meaningful and impactful initiatives, deepening mutual understanding and cooperation among Ukrainian and Indian youth and contributing to stronger bilateral ties between Ukraine and India.
