On February 24, 2025, in collaboration with the European Union Delegation in India and the Polish Institute New Delhi, we held a special event at Triveni Kala Sangam marking the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine. This evening was dedicated to the resilience of the Ukrainian people and their unwavering strength in the face of adversity.
The evening began with a solemn candle-lighting ceremony, a powerful symbol of unity and solidarity. Ambassadors of the European Union, European countries, and diplomats gathered to stand together in support of Ukraine, emphasizing that in these times, unity is more crucial than ever.
The highlight of the evening was Resonance of Resilience, a deeply moving concert by Dr. Taras Filenko - Ukrainian musicologist, etnomusicologist, and a brilliant artist whose work embodies the spirit of Ukraine. His performance captured the history, struggle, and perseverance of the Ukrainian people through music. From soulful compositions to powerful melodies of resistance, Dr. Filenko’s concert was a tribute to those who have given their lives for Ukraine’s freedom and independence, as well as to those who continue to defend the country. He was accompanied by Polish violinist Tomek Pajak, while Croatian soprano Sylvija Rajendra Kumar lent her voice to lead the audience in the National Anthem of Ukraine.
The event also featured Timeline of War, a powerful photo exhibition prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Through the lenses of professional Ukrainian photographers, it captured the spirit of resistance and the enduring courage of Ukraine’s people. The exhibition stood as a visual testament to Ukraine’s struggle and resilience over the past three years.
As the Ambassador of Ukraine to India, Dr. Oleksandr Polishchuk, stated:
“Today, the solidarity is tested. We have to show that we are united and we are fighting against the evil together. We will never give up, we will never forget, and we will never forgive. It is a very special concert to commemorate those who gave their lives to protect our freedom and independence, as well as those who continue to defend Ukraine.”
