On December 14, 2023, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of India hosted an Interactive Session on the implementation of Ukraine's Peace Formula (Point 5 "Restoration of Ukraine’s Territorial Integrity" & Point 7 "Restoration of Justice") in a hybrid format.

Representatives of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, scientific and expert circles of India, the diplomatic corps accredited in New Delhi (the Embassies of Poland, Italy, Finland, Romania, Latvia, Denmark, Guatemala) took part in the discussion.

The Ukrainian delegation of the Foreign Policy Council "Ukrainian Prism", which visited New Delhi on December 14-16, 2023, also participated in the consultations.

During the consultations, the philosophy of sections 5 and 7 of the Peace Formula and ways of implementing these provisions were discussed. Following key topics were emphasized:

• the need to improve existing mechanisms for implementing the basic principle of respect for territorial integrity and sovereignty enshrined in the UN Charter. In this context, special attention was paid to the need to reform the UN Security Council (including limiting the right of veto) and strengthening the role of the UN International Court of Justice;
• the need to ensure effective investigation of international crimes of the Russian Federation and bringing perpetrators to justice;
• the need to intensify efforts and ensure Ukraine's support on international platforms in the matter of creating a special international tribunal regarding the crime of aggression against Ukraine;
• the importance of effective functioning of the International Register of damages caused by the aggressor - Russian Federation and the compensation mechanism;
• numerous violations of human rights and crimes against humanity committed by the occupation authorities of the Russian Federation on the territory of the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea, changes in the demographic composition of the Crimean Peninsula. 
• just and lasting peace can be ensured only through the complete deoccupation of Ukrainian territories and the reintegration of the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

Special attention was focused on the importance of joining India, as a global player in the international arena and a voice of the Global South, to the implementation of the provisions of the Peace Formula. In this context, the active position of official New Delhi regarding participation in consultations at the level of national security advisors and political advisors (Indian representatives were represented at all 3 rounds of consultations) was noted and called for the maintenance of this positive trend.

The need to maintain bilateral contacts at the highest level was emphasized. In this context, the visit of the Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to Ukraine would become a powerful signal to the world community and a confirmation of India's declared position on supporting the principle of respect for territorial integrity integrity and sovereignty of all countries.

It was agreed to continue the exchange of relevant information and to hold additional separate meetings in order to work out practical steps for the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.
