Ukraine continued its regular engagement with the Vibrant Gujarat initiative by participating in the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) for the Kutch & Saurashtra Region, held in Rajkot on 11–12 January 2026 at Marwadi University.

The conference was inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and brought together Indian and international stakeholders to advance investment, industrial development, and regional growth priorities for western Gujarat.

H.E. Dr Oleksandr Polishchuk, Ambassador of Ukraine to India, delivered an address at the conference. In his remarks, he welcomed India’s leadership and noted Prime Minister Modi’s global role in efforts to establish peace, while underlining Ukraine’s readiness to deepen practical cooperation with Indian partners.

The Ambassador also highlighted the potential for expanded India–Ukraine economic and business cooperation, including prospective engagement of Indian companies in Ukraine’s future recovery and reconstruction across key sectors.

Alongside the plenary programme, the conference featured a range of sector-focused sessions and pavilion-format engagements. On the margins of the event, the Ambassador held meetings with representatives of Indian companies, during which the sides discussed practical avenues for cooperation and explored potential partnerships in areas of mutual interest.

These regional conferences are part of the Vibrant Gujarat initiative, anchored by the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit — one of the most influential investment summits in the world. 

Ukraine attaches importance to this platform and, following its role as a Partner Country at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, has consistently continued its interaction both with Vibrant Gujarat and directly with the Government of Gujarat, strengthening practical ties and exploring new avenues for economic cooperation.
