On June 29th, 2016 H.E. Dr. Igor Polikha, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of India, held the meeting with Mr. Shashi Tharoor, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on External Affairs of the Republic of India.
It was underlined the necessity of further intensifying of the interparliamentary direction of the Ukraine-India cooperation. In this context the Ukrainian Side raised the issue of establishing the India-Ukraine Friendship Group in the supreme legislative body of the Republic of India.
The parties also achieved the principal agreement on launching the working contacts between the committees on foreign affairs of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Parliament of India.
