On May 18, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of India joined in commemorating the victims of the 1944 deportation of the Crimean Tatar people, carried out by the Stalinist regime.
We honor the memory of thousands who were forcibly removed from their homeland, and we stand in solidarity with the Crimean Tatar people in their ongoing struggle for justice and dignity.
Once again, we reaffirm: Crimea is Ukraine.
Only with Ukraine can Crimea have a just, peaceful and dignified future.
