As part of the strategy to create a barrier-free environment in Ukraine and at the initiative of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, Ukraine is hosting its first-ever National Accessibility Week from May 19 to 25.

Creation of an inclusive and barrier-free environment has taken on a particularly important dimension for Ukraine amid the ongoing armed aggression by the Russian Federation. It is a matter of protecting fundamental human rights and forms the basis for Ukraine’s sustainable recovery. After all, human life and dignity are the highest priorities of the democratic Ukrainian state.

We are sincerely grateful to our friends from Parashar Industries – a manufacturer of prosthetic components in Ukraine – and to its founder, Indian citizen Nagender Parashar, who have not only joined this initiative but are also systematically implementing the barrier-free environment strategy in Ukraine.
