Congratulations to Mr. Laxmikant Deshmukh on presentation of his book “Freedom on Fire” published by Mehta Publishing House in Pune.

The launch took place at Maharashtra Sahitiya Parishad on February 24, 2024 - on the second tragic anniversary of Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

This fiction book written in #Marathi language, is a collection of seven long stories depicting the resilience and bravery of the Ukrainian people and armed forces in the face of Russian war against Ukraine.

The writer was hugely inspired by the speech of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy at Cannes Film Festival in May 2022, few months after Russia’s full scale invasion began.

Second Secretary of the Embassy Mr. Volodymyr Prytula had an honour to participate in the launch ceremony and deliver a speech to respected audience.
