On the eve of Ukraine’s Independence Day, the Embassy of Ukraine — together with Ukrainians in India, friends from the diplomatic corps, and Indian partners — gathered for a collective artistic action: a living image of resilience and hope - "Banyan of Freedom". 

Beneath the ancient banyan tree, glowing in the blue and yellow of our flag, a river of fabric in Ukraine’s colours rose toward its branches. In Indian tradition, the banyan is a tree of eternity — and under its shade we created a symbol of the immortality of the Ukrainian spirit, alive and unbroken. 

The presence of our friends made this moment even more meaningful: a gesture of solidarity and a shared hope for a just and lasting peace. 

The musical accompaniment was the spiritual anthem of our people - "God, Save Ukraine" (by Yaroslav Dzhus on the bandura - Ukrainian traditional instrument.
